I bought this to use on our scout campouts. It's really easy to set up. I'd say it will fit 2 people just fine, but you won't have much space for any extras. However, for my single use it was perfect. I can fit my sleeping mat and all my gear in with plenty of space. As for rain, it did rain our first night. The tent remained completely dry inside. The only slight complaint I would have is the outside layer around the zippers. It would be nice to have the outside layer roll up if you want ventilation in the tent rather than the zipper opening at the bottom, and you rolling it from the bottom. I'm not sure how this will hold up over time, but I'm impressed with how quick it is to set up and take down. I'll be using it monthly, so I'm hoping for a good lifespan on the tent.

This really is a handy little tent. I viewed the video linked through Amazon, and without any further instructions, I had the tent out of its bag and set up within 1 minute 18 seconds. There's plenty of headroom to sit up, and at 5'11", I was able to lie down with room to spare. Easily space for two people my size with a cuddly child in-between. When the bag is fully loaded with the fly, stakes, etc… it measures about 30 " long and might weighs around 8 lb. My neighbor, the real camper, says it would be ideal for "car camping", and could easily be "packed in" a few miles to a nearby campsite. My biggest challenge was getting it back into its bag. No problem collapsing the frame and gathering the tent..it was just difficult getting all of the fabric stuffed in. Actually made things a lot easier by using two of the supplied "wind" ropes to spiral-wrap the entire assembly and compress it enough to slip back into the bag very easily. SO: Lots of space in a small package. Clever construction and very easy to set-up and take-down. I don't anticipate and problems with durability, but if there's an issue, I'll let you know.

The kids were also very interested in this and we look forward to many family adventures using it!

I bought this tent for my daughter’s Christmas present. I wanted her to have a very compact and lightweight tent that is easy to carry but big enough to use for backpacking. The tent comes in a very small zipped bag which has the tent, fly sheet, poles and pegs. It is assembled by joining the sections of two carbon fibre rods. They are joined already by elastic and you just push together. The two rods are threaded through the outside hoops of the tent diagonally from each other so forming a cross. Each pole is then clipped into the plastic support at each corner and tied together at the top of the tent. This is pretty easy to do and once clipped in to the plastic clips the tent is rigid and ready for pegging and the fly sheet. It is spacious inside and was well constructed. I put it together indoors as it was raining outside and it is a Christmas present. My one worry was whether it would pack up small again. I need not have worried. It rolled up easily into the zipped bag which included all parts of the tent, poles, pegs and fly sheet. Whilst I have not used the tent outside yet it is definitely a great purchase if you want something very lightweight and easy to assemble. The fabric is lightweight but good quality and I am sure my daughter will be delighted.
